The brand that embodies our values

Proud to be Origine France-certified! All our Celtigel products are made in Brittany and prepared using quality Origine France [French Origin]-certified fresh ingredients. Our brand works with our integrated fish and seafood chain (Celtarmor and Pêcheries d’Armorique), supplying scallops (Pecten maximus and Chlamys opercularis) and fish caught near the French coast by a fleet of 180 fishing boats. It supports local employment and the fish and seafood and beef industries with its labelled products.

Our traditional and gourmet meals are as good as home-made, prepared using fine ingredients (real fish stock, fine beef cuts, PDO Roscoff onions, French wines, etc.). All Celtigel recipes are free from additives, colouring and preservatives.

Quality and excellence guaranteed

Celtigel, “c’est bon de manger français” [it’s good to eat French food], promotes recognised labels: Origine France Garantie & label rouge. Certain products, ready meals on the half-shell and meat dishes have been awarded the label rouge certification.

Origine France Garantie is the only certification that ensures the traceability of a product while providing a clear and objective indication of its origin. This assures the consumer that:

The product has been made entirely in France using French fresh ingredients. Any ingredient representing more than 8% of the recipe’s weight is of French origin. At least 50% of manufacturing costs are of French origin (fresh ingredients, labour, etc.)

Celtigel’s initiative for label rouge-certified starters and ready meals has helped to develop the label rouge beef and scallop sector. We use a fair beef supply chain involving the farmer and those who implement the design, for example, of our bolognese lasagne and cottage pie recipes, meeting strict specifications subject to regular audits.

Label rouge is the only official French marker of quality, recognised by the French government and an independent body, the INAO (French National Institute of Product Origin and Quality). This label certifies that the product concerned is of a higher level of quality than a similar standard product. It also imposes strict specifications on production and manufacturing conditions, as well as a short and positive list of ingredients.
